Strandwood Elementary School

They are one of the Mt. Diablo School District's 30 primary schools. The College Park Feeder Pattern includes them. They are a school with a track record of outstanding achievement and a dedicated teaching and support team. There is a vibrant and loving parent/guardian community there. Strandwood is a school where the Kindergarteners to Fifth Graders are able to attend classes with their peers and have an abundance of support. For example, there's a Transitional Kindergarten class that helps children transition in ability level from preschool or home-based education. They also offer special day classes for kids who need more attention than others due to moderate needs at least up through second grade on any number of subjects such as reading, math, science etcetera. Strandwood strives to create a safe and happy environment in which students can learn. Strandwood is a school where kids and adults feel secure physically, emotionally on a regular basis. The data clearly shows that Strandwood has low suspension rates with excellent attendance ratios for general education pupils at 99.35% while the rate of special needs students in 2020-2021 was 85.93%. This aligns with their goal as an inclusive environment providing support for all types of learners from every background imaginable who are given diverse opportunities to thrive under caring instructors or guardians in small classrooms so they can flourish academically, socially, and intellectually!
